Keloid Removal

Keloids are more than just “bad scars”, they are actually areas where scar tissue has grown above and beyond the site of the initial wound. Some people are especially prone to keloids and form them quite readily, even with minimal trauma. Others may only develop keloids in certain situations—based on the part of the body involved, the tension on the wound, the way in which the wound was treated initially, etc. Keloid treatment can involve multiple processes, like steroid injections, surgical excision and topical scar creams, etc. Dr. Steele-Griffin can suggest the most appropriate treatment options for your keloid.
