Marc E. Yune, MD

Dr. Marc Yune is a double board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. After graduating with honors from medical school and residency in head and neck surgery at Indiana University, he was selected for a fellowship in facial plastic surgery with an emphasis on cosmetic facial surgery. The fellowship, sanctioned by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) was administered by their recognized authorities in association with Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. During his fellowship he served as a clinical instructor to Emory University while working with leaders in the field of facial plastic surgery to achieve the highest level of training available. He furthered his education in cosmetic breast surgery through a variety of preceptorships primarily in Southern California (Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, San Juan Capistrano, Los Angeles) over several years. He continues to further his education through the AAFPRS, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery and various other societies. Dr. Yune is a recognized authority in the field of facial plastic and cosmetic surgery. He has authored and lectured nationally on numerous topics related to these fields. He is a volunteer surgeon, past spokesman, and fund raising chairman for Face to Face national domestic violence project. He is a clinical consultant to Allergan (makers of Botox and Juvederm). He has been featured on CNN, NBC, Discovery Health Channel, She TV, Women’s Entertainment Network and a variety of other media. Katie Covington, MMSc, PA-C
Katie obtained her Bachelors Degree from Emory University in 1998 graduating with High Honors after receiving a four year academic scholarship. She then went on to earn her Masters in Medical Science at Emory where she graduated in 2001 with High Honors and was recognized by Emory PA Program’s Progress and Promotions Committee each year of study. After graduation she practiced Primary and Urgent Care medicine in a family practice clinic as well as an emergency department setting for five years. Upon joining our practice in 2006, she trained extensively with Dr. Stephanie Gardner in the field of dermatology and now enjoys treating a wide variety of skin disorders in patients of all ages. She works very closely with Dr. Steele-Griffin to provide our patients with superior care in the most opportune manner. Katie is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants.
Judy Paredes, Esthetician
Judy believes that educating the patient is imperative. Commitment to improvement comes from the knowledge of understanding the effect of treatments and products on the skin. She believes that skin care requires team work from both the esthetician and the patient. She has advanced medical esthetics training and is experienced in laser hair removal, intense pulse light treatments, v-beam laser, chemical peels, microdermabrasions, CoolSculpting and many skin care lines. She is a graduate of International School of Skin and Nails. Before becoming an esthetician she worked in the merchandising field. Judy has a B.A. from Bowling Green State University.
Tonya Munn, Esthetician
Tonya graduated from The International School of Skin and Nailcare in 2001. She focuses on her years of practicing skincare and inhibiting the aging process through customized facials, microdermabrasion and chemical peels. Tonya has increased her knowledge with continued education and has received advanced training in laser hair removal and intense pulse light therapy.
Yolonda Frederick, Make-up Artist
Yolonda Frederick has been a creative force in entertainment since launching her make-up and image business, Face-Value, Inc., in 1998. A Senior Master Make-up Artist with industry leader Van Michael Salons for more than seven years, Yolonda became interested in makeup while studying Communications and Theater at Central Methodist University, where she earned her degree.Known for her make-up artistry, Yolanda’s work appears in film, television, print and on-line for clients that include Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Emma Roberts, Harrison Ford, TLC, Ciara, the Dave Matthews Band, Cartel, Bow Wow, Creed, Melissa Etheridge, OutKast, Monica, Dream, Nas, Da’ Brat, Rosilyn Sanchez, Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn. Lynn Whitfield and Savion Glover. Yolonda is also founder and executive producer of the  “Living Art” Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation awareness and fundraising event. Fusing an eclectic blend of fashion-driven body painting, music, art and culture, Yolonda’s list of celebrity supporters includes Usher and TLC’s T-Boz. Pernod Ricard’s Martell brand has recognized her work with “Living Art” as a part of its “Rise Above” campaign. A Rotary International Scholar, Yolonda completed courses towards her MBA at L’Universite Catholique De Louvain in Brussels, Belgium.

Katy Medrano, Esthetician
My passion is to offer my clients the youthful and rejuvenated skin they desire, with not only prevenative maintenance but reversal of skin damage. I graduated from the College of Charleston prior to receiving my esthetics certification from Central Georgia Technical College. I have been treating clients at the Greensboro location of Aesthetic Specialty Centre since 2003. My treatments offer clients a cosmetic result while also protecting them from skin cancer and sun damage. I help clients achieve their most desirable results through a customized skincare regimen including microdermabrasions, chemical peels, as well as medical grade skin care products. I also have extensive training in laser hair removal which is imperative when dealing with multiple skin types. My experience with our practice (assisting with Dr. Yune and practicing esthetics) has given me the exposure and knowledge to offer my clients healthy and beautiful skin along with medical benefit.
